Brenda Ann Smith, age 73 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born on October 24, 1949 to the late Donald Earl and Betty Charlene (Carmean) Krisher in Kenton, Ohio. I would stop by her office before or after class just to see if she was in -- she often would stop what she was doing to chat and find out how things were going with Miami and otherwise. She was a member of The Church At Bradenton, Pastor Ancil Abney. She was born in Elkton, MD on March 10, 1963 to the late John Wiles and Irma Gaye (Poe) Kiebler. She married David A. Smith on October 25, 1972. She called them her Barnacles, especially Lady Bug who she loved for 16 years. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Brenda Joyce Smith to the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, c/o Foothills District . A Memorial service will follow starting at 3pm at the funeralhome with Pastor Brett Gleespen officiating. Write your message of sympathy today.
